At Turtle Island CRM, we recognize that traditional knowledge as expressed by the members of a community is not necessarily abstractions, of relevance to desk top studies and baseline data collection only. We assert that TLU and cultural resource assessments are complimentary components of a complete land management framework. We believe that within a defined management framework, the results of project specific assessment can collectively provide relevant information allowing for more critical and reflective land management plan referenced by all cultural resource and traditional use data collected.
